Migrate Exchange and SharePoint 2013 Before Support Ends With Special MigrationWiz Pricing

With support for Office 2013 ending on April 11, 2023, it’s important to upgrade Exchange 2013 and SharePoint 2013 before you lose access to technical support, updates, bug fixes, and security patches. To get you moving on your migration, BitTitan is offering special pricing for a limited time on the MigrationWiz licenses you need.

Many organizations are using MigrationWiz to move from Office 2013 to Microsoft 365 for cloud-based services. It’s not the only option, but it is the option that provides access to the most up-to-date features, collaboration, and the security of Azure cloud. Let’s take a look at what you’ll need to upgrade your Exchange Server and SharePoint:

Exchange Server

The best and simplest option is to migrate to Exchange Online and decommission your on-premises servers. But there may be a reason for your organization to maintain on-premises servers after April 11. In that case you can upgrade to Exchange 2019 until you’re ready to move to the cloud.

Your migration strategy will depend on several factors including the current state of your environment, the number of mailboxes you’ll be moving, and how fast you want to complete your migration. Migration strategies include a cutover migration in which everything is moved at once – usually over a weekend – and hybrid migrations in which mailboxes and data are moved in batches over the course of a few weeks.

Smaller migrations can be done quickly and simply using standard settings in MigrationWiz, but the tool also offers a lot of control and flexibility with Advanced Options. You’ll choose your MigrationWiz licenses based on how many mailboxes you’re moving and whether you’re also migrating Teams, documents, and other workloads. But you’ll want to act fast to take advantage of the limited-time promotional pricing detailed below.

SharePoint

SharePoint 2013 refers to both SharePoint Server 2013 and SharePoint Foundation 2013. And they’re both reaching end-of-support on April 11, 2023. The best option is to migrate to the cloud and update to Microsoft 365. This allows you to take advantage of the most modern features and security.

It’s possible to continue using SharePoint on-premises by upgrading to SharePoint Server 2016 or 2019, but keep in mind that both versions will reach end of support on July 14, 2026. This means another upgrade in just three years. If it’s not an option to immediately migrate to Microsoft 365, the next best choice is to upgrade to SharePoint Server Subscription Edition. However, this will entail upgrading to SharePoint 2016 first since there isn’t a direct path from SharePoint 2013 to a Server Subscription.

If all this talk of versions and deadlines is just adding confusion, keep in mind that BitTitan is here to help. Our migration experts can help you choose the right MigrationWiz licenses, figure out how many you need, and even help you plan your migration. But keep in mind that our promotional pricing won’t last forever. Don’t miss a chance to save $6 to $19 per license on your next migration.
