Video: Project Sharing in MigrationWiz
A lot of migrations can be done with only one person at the helm of the BitTitan console. There are times, though, when you’ll want to share the work with others. For example, if you’re an IT service provider you already know you can manage multiple customers with a single MigrationWiz account. However, if you’re going to be working side-by-side with a customer’s internal IT team, you’ll want them to only have access to their project. Simple – just create a workgroup and specify permissions for each person you invite to collaborate. Our latest video tutorial shows you how.
What You’ll Learn in this Video
Workgroups are a set of security permissions that specify an individual’s access level for projects, agents, licenses, and financial details. Workgroups can’t share data between them; they’re fully walled-off as completely separate entities. But depending on how you assign roles, the people in your workgroup can help with your migration. In this video you’ll learn how to:
Create a workgroup. You’ll use MSP Complete to form your workgroup, then create projects within the group. When you invite others to join a workgroup, they’re designated as an Agent.
Have participants obtain access. Each person you invite to a workgroup will need to have their own free BitTitan account; you’ll never be sharing login credentials.
Assign roles. When you invite others to be Agents in a workgroup, you’ll assign them a role. Mark, our migration expert, explains what each role can do.
Wrap up a project. Once a shared project is complete, you can switch an individual member or the entire workgroup to ‘inactive.’ As an administrator, you have complete control over security.
